Culture & Values
Envelope Engineering’s path from modest beginnings in a living room ‘office’ to becoming a thriving land development consultancy across New Zealand showcases to the power of curiosity, innovation, and a value-driven culture.
This is the juicy stuff we love to create.
-
Envelope Engineering faced the challenge of nurturing a growing team culture that transcended routine, embraced values, and supported its team, clients, and community.
From a team of 15 to now 45+, they sought to blend the technicalities of survey and engineering with the uniqueness of their team members, so every day was nothing short of extraordinary.
-
To foster a truly authentic and lasting culture, Envelope initiated a collaborative process with all team members. This approach ensured that the values were not merely imposed and written into a document but collectively embraced by all.
The chosen values became the bedrock of Envelope's culture, guiding every aspect of daily life. Creative Director Mel Blyde didn't stop at words on a page - she and her team transformed these values into a physical presence within all office locations. Each office became a living embodiment of Envelope's culture, where every corner and design element conveyed the chosen values and branding.
This transformation wasn't just visual—it became an inspiration for the team, reinforcing their shared commitment to entrepreneurship, teamwork, innovation, quality, and making a difference. The physical manifestation of values in the workplace positively influences their actions, purpose and identity.
-
This strategy engrained the values within the core of Envelope's being, catapulting their culture and success forward with passion and a collective vision. This, in turn, elevated their projects, transcending industry standards, and overall retaining bloody good humans.
And who doesn’t like working with bloody good humans?
